on-site professional childcare

The Sheffield Children’s Centre has been established since 1985 providing outstanding care for children from birth to 17 years of age. 
Our staffing team are all qualified to a minimum of Level 3 Childcare. Our senior staff members are qualified up to Masters Level in Early Years or Education, with two holding Early Years Teacher Status and three holding Qualified Teacher Status. Many of our staff are qualified and experienced assessors, Internal Quality Assurers and External Verifiers. Alongside this two members of staff are Montessori teachers and two are qualified social workers. Our team also includes a qualified, experienced Infection Control Advisor who has worked within the Medical industry for over 13 years and a Breast Feeding Support worker who works at a local maternity hospital, so we are sure to support your child’s learning and development in a way in which you feel most suitable. 

Equally as important, is our Continuous Professional Development and all staff attend regular training in various areas including Prevent, First Aid, Data Protection, Equality and Diversity.

Staying up to date and current within the industry is paramount to us here at the Centre, as is our staff continuing their own development. Members of our staff are working towards their Masters and two towards their PhDs, in Childcare, Psychology or Education based subjects.

Our Centre places high priority on promoting Equality and Diversity and we are lucky to have daily bilingual staff speaking in English, Urdu, Punjabi, Italian, Spanish and German. 

We have an in house chef who has worked as a restaurant owner and chef for over 50 years. Salvatore provides fresh, nutritious meals cooked in house on a daily basis with menus updated every 4 weeks, these are available to view on our notice board at the start of every month.

We are based on shoreham street, S1 4SR. We are close to the city centre with car parking for all parents, carers and students. Feel free to come in for a visit or to pick up a welcome pack.
